What is Global developmental Delay

The intellectual developmental delay in early 5 years of age when the clinical severity level of symptoms cannot be assessed then this diagnosis is made. Global developmental delay is diagnosed when a child is unable to meet developmental milestones like developing communication skills, walking properly according to age, understanding cues and nonverbal actions during developmental period. This developmental delay can be in many areas of intellectual functioning. Global developmental delay is diagnosed for individuals who are too young and are unable to undergo systematic diagnostic procedure and in standardized testing.
